As a volunteer-run organization it might take a little time for us to get back to you but we try to reply to email, requests, and donation offers in a timely manner, generally within a week. We generally plan furniture runs on Fridays for that weekend.
Volunteer Opportunities
Neighbor to Neighbor needs your help to run! Our furniture redistribution program needs drivers and movers to help pick up and deliver furniture. Please email director@n2ntompkins.org to get scheduled as a volunteer.

Drivers
Drivers are responsible to driving the truck from location to location, including our storage space. Drivers also help keep track of the furniture that is moved during their run. We will train you to drive the truck if you are interested in becoming a driver. We ask that our drivers plan to do several shifts over the course of the year. If you are interested in volunteering as a driver contact director@n2ntompkins.org
You must have a valid driver license and good driving record to be a driver; previous experience with driving trucks is a plus! Drivers must be 21 years of age or older.

Movers
Movers are responsible for loading and removing furniture from the truck. Movers will need to move items from donors' living spaces or our storage space. And, movers will need to help place furniture in the living spaces of those receiving the furniture.
Movers will be permitted to place donations in covered outdoor areas, rather than inside homes.
